Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: Accra Arrival

Welcome to Ghana; Meet and Greet Your host at The Kotoka International Airport. From there, we will proceed to Warren’s Residence (Bed & Breakfast) for a special AKWAABA ‘Welcome’ dinner featuring assorted Ghanaian dishes and cultural performances. Meals included: dinner

DAY 2: National Museum & W.E.B Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence Square & Black Star Gate.

After Breakfast, we will explore the historical parts of Accra. Our first stop will be The W.E.B Dubois Center for Pan-African Culture to learn about the first African-American to move down to Africa to join the Pan-Africanist movement. The centre is a memorial place, a research facility and tourist attraction to many African-Americans. After our visit, we will pause, for lunch at a downtown ACCRA restaurant. After lunch, we will head to independence square and the black star gate for photo opportunities. Then we'll visit LABADI BEACH to relax and unwind. From there, we will have early dinner at BAZAAR restaurant before returning to WARRENS RESIDENCE. Meals included: breakfast + lunch + dinner

DAY 3: Safari Valley Resort & Aburi Arts & Craft Village

We’ll wake up early and head to Safari Valley Resort after breakfast at Warren’s residence. The resort boasts of over 60 species of both indigenous and introduced birds making it a birdwatching destination. Indigenous species include the blue-bellied roller, African Pied Hornbill, Northern Red Bishop as well as introduced species such as the West African Crown Crane, Silver Pheasants, Emus. Mandarin Ducks etc. you will see a stunning array of wildlife during your stay, from gazelles to impalas to zebras to donkeys to antelopes and a lot more! Don’t be surprised or scared when you see these guys, you will definitely fall in love with their friendly nature. We’ll have lunch at the Resort then continue to Aburi Arts & Craft Village “Great place to see and purchase some incredible woodcraft. Crafts of all kinds from masks, carved animals, beadwork, fabrics… the variety goes on. Friendly vendors request you view their wares but no pressure like other places. Many shops you purchase directly from the craftsperson. You’ll enjoy meeting the talent behind the works.” We’ll finally journey back to Warren’s residence for dinner. Meals included: breakfast + lunch + dinner

DAY 4: Slave River & Elmina Beach Resort

Rise and Shine!. Today we travel to the Central Region of Ghana by road. Our first stop will be the Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Site “The Assin Manso Slave River Site served as the place where slaves had their last bath on African soil before being marched down to the slave castles of Elmina and Cape Coast along the coast. The site was referenced as the “great depot” through which the Asantes sent slaves to the coast and served as one of the largest eighteenth-century slave markets. Here, slaves were fed and allowed to rest for several days or weeks.” from here, we’ll have Lunch at Mable Table in Elmina then head to Elimina Beach Resort for check-in and poolside relaxation. Meals included: breakfast + lunch + dinner

DAY 5: Elmina Castle

We begin today with a group breakfast at Elmina Beach Resort then head straight to tour Elmina Castle – First established as a trade settlement, the castle later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic slave trade. The Dutch seized the fort from the Portuguese in 1637, after an unsuccessful attempt in 1596, and took over all of the Portuguese Gold Coast in 1642. The slave trade continued under the Dutch until 1814. In 1872, the Dutch Gold Coast, including the fort, became a possession of the United Kingdom. We will tour the serene and vibrant city of Cape Coast before heading back to Accra to have dinner at Warren’s Residence. Meals included: breakfast + lunch + dinner

DAY 6: Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum & La Palm Royal Beach Hotel

We begin today with a breakfast at Warren’s residence then move to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum – “Over the years, the park has attracted visitors from around the world, with an annual count of approximately 98,000 individuals who visit to pay homage to Ghana’s first President, and learn about his life and legacy. As one of the top 10 most visited sites in the country, the park holds immense cultural and historical significance” Our second stop will be at Accra Arts Center where you explore variety art and craft ranging from dance, drama, carvings, clothing etc. We will cool off the afternoon with a live band performances over lunch at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. We then return back to Warren’s Residence for self care, grooming and beauty services. Meals included: breakfast + lunch + dinner

DAY 7: Beach Relaxation & Investment opportunities

After breakfast at Warren’s Residence, we’ll continue to the Beach for relaxation and to have lunch. We then return back to Warren’s residence later in the day just around 5:00pm we will have a traditional Ghanaian dinner. During the group dinner we will have the opportunity to reflect on the various sites that we visited while here in Ghana and also do group photo. For those of you that may have interest in making investments in Ghana, there will be an opportunity to discuss business investments after dinner. Meals included: breakfast + lunch + dinner

DAY 8: Farewell Ghana

We’ll have breakfast and lunch together at Warren’s residence, then head out to the airport for check-in and to catch your flight back. You’ll return home feeling invigorated and will be itching for your next trip to Ghana! Meals included: breakfast + Lunch

Pricing

The total cost of the guided trip is $2,950.00. To confirm your reservation, a deposit of $500.00 is required. The remaining balance must be paid 45 days prior to the scheduled trip date. Monthly payment options are available through PayPal.
